Rulebook design consistency

Diagram standardising

There have been a lot of minor updates to my diagrams. Some are very subtle, some are quite indepth.

Consistency consistency consistency

I have standardised my borders for each element to improve consistency.

  • 3pt for arrows
  • 6pt for critters
  • 12pt for outlining a tile
  • 50% black deep dropped shadows on placement arrows
  • 75% black shallow dropped shadows direction arrows
  • Always use the colour of the player who moves the critter.

For example, I experimented using green to show green is the correct thing to do. However, when it is only showing one thing, I believe it is more beneficial to hint who the one thing should be completed by. colour-consistency.png
